If this has been your Book of the Month
I found this in an old magazine yesterday:
The print reads:
A FINE AUDIENCE FOR A JOKE,
BENNY IS SET OFF AT A SCRIPT CONFERENCE
WHEN WRITER PROPOSES SKETCH
CALLED “I WAS A TEENAGE OLD MAN.”
BENNY LAUGHED FOR TWO MINUTES,
THEN DECIDED IT WAS TOO
WILD A GAG TO USE IN SHOW

Earlier this week, I was drawn to
the F.Scott Fitgerald shelves
where I discovered this book:
The Pat Hobby Stories.
There are 17 Pat Hobby tales
featuring a writer in Hollywood.
So far, I've read the first 3 and I'm
amazed how great these are!
I can't believe I never knew
about these, but now I must
share the news with you.

I still have those 3 pig war coins
commemorating a war fought near
Friday Harbor over a pig.
The End of School for 1975
we're getting ready for journey
to Maine and then Scotland.
I'm not proud of this event
inspired by the film Reptilicus
and I sincerely hope that the
Caterpillar Protection Society
will accept my apologies.
I much prefer sleeping by a river:
